Why have I chosen "Create Your Wellness Lifestyle" as the blog title for the Wenck Travel website? Helping others have a happy and healthy travel experience has been important to me from the beginning over ten years ago. I've also wanted a unique "thank you" gift I could give to my clients that would be long lasting and of value. When I was introduced to Norwex products, particularly the Enviro travel cloth, I knew I had found that gift. Knowing my clients are able to clean up to 99% of bacteria everywhere they travel with just the cloth and water was the perfect answer. That's when my second business, Your Healthy Home Products, was formed.
A few months ago I began a series of certification classes through The Travel University education program. One of those modules stressed finding a couple of niches for travel that I could promote as specialty areas. Every aspect of my life has been centered around wellness. My grandfather, Dr. A. C. Krueger, was a chiropractor for over 50 years and I have many family members who have followed his chosen profession, including my brother, Dr. Robert Prather. The nonprofits I work with have to do with wellness- mental health, suicide prevention, sex trafficking and returning citizens. So Wellness Travel became one of those specialties.
"Create Your Wellness Lifestyle" says what I want this blog to promote for each of us using the "8 Dimensions of Wellness": Emotional, Financial, Social, Spiritual, Occupational, Physical, Intellectual and Environmental. This is the totality of who we each are and being out-of-balance in any one area can shift how we are in the others. Don't forget - "You Become The Wellness You Create".
I will be bringing local experts as guest writers as well as articles I've researched to this page. Together as readers we will share our strengths and the areas we want to work on improving. Our own personal wellness will then create wellness for our families and our communities. We can strengthen where we live and leave a better world for those who come after us. I look forward to interacting with all of you who take this journey with me.
